Ten Forty-Eight film

As a result of the popularity of the public service announcements we went decided to go one step further and create a film to be used in classrooms.  The film titled, Ten Forty-Eight, which is the ten code for an overdose, was filmed using local Fox Valley students and actors and was filmed with real police officers, paramedics, and physicians and nurses.

In order to make the film as realistic as possible, the overdose scenes with law enforcement/paramedics as well as the emergency room scene were filmed unscripted or ‘live’.

The film is 51 minutes in length and was created to fit into a classroom time frame.  The producers also worked with local teachers to develop the following curiculuum to accompany the film.
